e-Learning Courses
Organization Solutions for Middle-Schoolers that Actually Work
This e-Learning course was created using Articulate Rise 360 to help parents, caregivers, and teachers support middle school students. Children at this age often face challenges that make daily life stressful. To develop the course, I adapted techniques created by behavioral health experts and presented them as interactive activities. After completing the course, learners are able to complete a downloadable plan to start using these solutions right away. Click on the image to the right top open the full interactive course. Harassment Compliance Course

Mini Course Screen Casts
Screen cast excerpt
The following screen casts are knowledge checks taken from a full length eModule created in Adobe Captivate. The Myth vs. Fact activity on the right is a pretest to engage the participant and increase their motivation to learn. It also supports the concept of “unlearning” presented in Malcom Knowles’s Six Characteristics of Andragogy.
Screen cast excerpt
This activity features a real life scenario to help adult learners recognize the problem solving value in the content, as well as providing concrete example that can be applied to similar situations in their own lives. The custom programmed flip cards are designed to reduce transactional distance.
Screen cast excerpt
This knowledge check features customized flip cards to present the interaction and feedback with an interface that requires only one action so that the learner experiences a reduced cognitive load with a lower interaction cost.
