About

I am a freelance writer and editor specializing in educational content, including workbooks, eLearning curricula, training materials, SEO, and value-added marketing. My professional areas of focus include mental health and wellness, arboriculture, professional training, and creative writing. Over the years I have taught in many settings and am passionate about helping people build their capacity to deliver their own vision and expertise to a broader audience.

I hold a professional certificate in Instructional Design from the University of Minnesota and a MFA in English and Creative Writing from Mills College in Oakland, Ca. I especially enjoy working with artists, and have taught at several fine art schools including Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design.

My first boss introduced me to the concept of capacity building as a way to help people improve their lives. The idea has stuck with me and I believe it applies to every project.

Capacity development is about transformations that empower individuals, leaders, organizations and societies.
